Workout Supplements

What about supplements? Are they good are they bad??

For the most part supplements will give you nothing but expensive urine. However there are some supplements I do recommend. One is called Creatine Monohydrate. This is a cheap supplement that works great for building muscle. It is found naturally in red meat and your body also produces it naturally. It has been around for decades and it seems pretty safe from what I have read.

All you have to do is be consistent with taking it. Take it immediately after a workout with regular grape juice. And take it on an empty stomach on the days you do not workout. A tablespoon at a time is all that you need. After about 3 weeks you should really notice a result in your strength and you will probably gain some weight - muscle.

Another supplement I recommend is vitamins/minerals. Be careful about what you get here because not all vitamin manufactures are creating quality products. Many of the vitamins out there are synthetic vitamins - man made. For example, the calcium they use could be just ground up sea shells!! The kind of vitamins you want to get should be plant based vitamins.

The bottom line is that nothing can ever replace real food. If you are eating a balanced diet with good proteins and complex carbs you should be OK.
